On Monday 18th of April the A-team footballers went off to Cogenhoe Football Club to play the NTSSF football finals.
The first team we faced were Queen Eleanor but a poor start from us led to the first 2-0 loss.
The next game was against St James (one of the best teams in the tournament) where we kept them to a goal-less draw.
Our penultimate game was against Hopping Hill where we picked up our first victory, winning 2-1, with goals from Max and an own goal from the opposition.
Our final game was against Abington Vale. Other results went our way which meant, with a win, we still had a chance of going through.
Unexpectedly we were top of our group and we were matched with Standen’s Barn in the semis. Despite numerous chances to win, we lost due to a late goal, which sadly means we’re out of the competition.
