This afternoon, we have been delving into the past to discover ancient inventions.
We have been looking at: the catapult which was used by the ancient Greeks and Romans; the chariot which was used for racing in the Roman era; the compass invented in China; the printing press which was invented by Johannes Gutenberg; the wheel, discovered in 4000BC; the steam engine which was invented in 1765 and the clock which was first invented by a mathematician.
