We were very lucky to have some tiny creatures in to visit the Nursery children.
Chris and Jen from Chris's Animal Encounters, brought in some of their friends to introduce to the children and teach us all new facts about them. We got to look at the creatures, learn about them and we even got to stroke and hold them.
All the children were extremely brave and gave the minibeasts a stroke and a hold. We got to experience how heavy some of the creatures are, how fast the walk and what their legs feel like as the walk across our hands.
We got to hold and learn about African Snails, Madagascan Hissing Cockroach, Giant African Millipedes, a Stick Insect and a Leaf Insects, and a Centipede. We also got to see and talk about a Tarantula, but this one we could not hold.
