As you will know, in Year 1 we have been studying the story of Handa’s Hen. Well, last Wednesday we were lucky enough to have a visit from Mondi, the hen who was lost!
The children had a lovely time learning about how to take care of Mondi, what she likes to eat and how to keep her safe. The children were so excited to see her, but they knew they had to be very quiet so that they didn’t scare Mondi.
If they wanted to, the children were allowed to gently stroke Mondi and they loved finding out how soft her feathers were.
We would like to say thank you to Miss Shefford’s mummy for bringing Mondi in for us to meet her in person.
