We have been busy learning lots about The Great Fire of Northampton. If you want to learn more about it then please ask our Year 1 experts! We have thought about: When? Where? and How? the fire started and then considered Why? the fire spread so quickly. We created some fantastic fact files that include all of the key information. We have also worked to compare the events to The Great Fire of London and found lots of similarities! One of our favourite activities was creating our own fire marks. These were attached to the outside of buildings and homes to show the private fire services which buildings needed protecting. If they didn’t have a fire mark the building would be left to burn!
