As we all settle into Year 2 routines, here is some important information for you to be aware of:Children will enter the Year 2 indoor area independently. Doors open at 8.40am and will close at 8.50am.
If you need to speak to your child’s teacher, there will be a member of staff at our Year 2 door every morning. Please speak to them and we will be able to pass on messages or call on your child’s own teacher.
PE days are Monday and Thursday.
Children will need indoor and outdoor kit including plimsolls and trainers, and their house t-shirt (they are available at the office if a replacement is needed).
No jewellery to be worn on P.E days (including earrings, which must not be plastered or taped over).

This week we visited the library! The children were very respectful and well behaved when we were there. We were very proud! They were able to choose a book to take home and we hope they are sharing it with you and you enjoy reading them together. Please feel free to visit the library after school to choose new books, if it is closed for any reason there will be a sign on the door. Happy reading!
Take a look at some of these fantastic books that we have selected for the Top Ten Reads for Year 2. Some of them are stories that we will come across throughout the year, and some of them are just great books to share at home.
Next week we will take the children to the main library where they can choose a book to take home. Parents can then visit the library with the children during opening times to return the book and choose a new one. We can't wait to see what they will choose!
