Science - Identifying bones in the Human Skeleton

This week in Year 3 the children completed a range of activities to help them learn about and name some of the bones in the human skeleton. We recapped key information: Vertebrates have a skeleton for Movement, Support and Protection. The children then had fun learning about the names of the bones in the human skeleton by creating their own skeletons, using interactive games and drawing life size models of the bones of their classmates. How many bones can you name?

FUN FACT: A baby is born with around 300 bones and as the baby grows into an adult the bones fuse together and the number of bones an adult then has is 206.Have a look at the videos and the interactive activities via the links below, to further explore and learn more about the bones in the human skeleton.
