On Wednesday 16th October, the Yr 5/6 Girls Football team took part in the NSport Town cup competition at Moulton College. The Girls have been working hard and have had a few fixtures preparing for this competition. They played really well showing good teamwork, winning four and drawing one of their group games. In the final they played another strong school, Upton Meadows. Lots of excellent play from both teams, the game finished 1-1. The teams could not be separated after extra time, so it went to penalties. After 5 penalties each still all equal. It then went to sudden death penalties and on the 7th penalty we scored and they missed. We now qualify for the County Finals on Monday 27th January. Well done to Bella, Neve, Amira, Hope, Ellie, Renae and Melanie from Year 6, and Aoife from Year 5.
