Celebrating and raising awareness for Autism Acceptance month (April)

This week the children took part in an assembly hosted by the charity EnFold. They learnt: what we mean by acceptance; discovered ways we celebrate differences; watched a video from The National Autistic Society explaining what autism is; looked at inclusion and the importance of how we support and celebrate everyone.

We also promoted and supported the EnFold charity by having a non-uniform day to raise funds. Wearing blue to celebrate Autism (Accept, Adapt, Advocate).

More information on this can be found here on the National Autistic Society website: https://www.autism.org.uk/what-we-do/acceptance-and-awareness/world-autism-acceptance-month
