I'm Not a Kid!

Year 3 have been focusing on poetry in aid of National Poetry Day. We used some advice from a poet, Michael Rosen, before we planned our performance. We used our voice, changed our facial expression and used our body to convey meaning. Here is Baloo class performing 'I'm Not A Kid' by Valerie Bloom.

Frottage Collage in Art

In Art lessons, we have been exploring different creative techniques of how we can create works of art. We have been practising a new skill called; Frottage. The term frottage was created by the artist Max Ernst. This technique is when we take a rubbing from textured surfaces to form the basis of the art work. We used the textured rubbings and tore and shaped the paper to create our own collage.

The Year 3 children did a fabulous job creating beautiful works of Frottage Collage Art.
