We started our adventure at Irchester Country Park, where we went for a walk and had a snack in the woods. We went on a high walkway over a gorge where we could look over the quarry. We finished our morning by having lots of fun in the play park.
At Frontier Centre, we took part in lots of activities including indoor climbing, bushcraft, archery, canoeing and nightline. Some of us got very muddy at the adventure pit and during walk the plank. On our first night we had a campfire where we sang silly songs and made lots of noise!
"My proudest moment was climbing to the top of the highest climbing wall." Lillyanne
"My funniest moment was falling in the mud at Adventure Pits. I looked like a mud-man! No one wanted to hug me…" Liam
"In Bushcraft, my fire went really high. That was my favourite part." Elliot
"When the instructor was demonstrating what to do at canoeing, I got soaked because he jumped into our boat." Casey
This week, we have gained a lot of new skills. We learnt to cooperate with each other and that teamwork makes the dream work. We also learnt how to be safe around fire when we were building our own fires at bushcraft. We learnt how to communicate with each other better because we had to talk to each other and trust one another to help us. Lots of us found out that we are braver than we thought. We are very proud of ourselves and our teachers are too.
