What a busy start to the year!

The Year 4 children have been very busy at the start of the new school year. We spent the first few days getting to know our teachers, revisiting the school values and rules, learning our new routines and getting our classroom equipment set up. We also made a whole year group display for the corridor.

In lessons, we have been reading the book ‘Here We Are’ by Oliver Jeffers and have used it as the basis for lots of our work in English and Geography. We even used it to create our own ‘brainscapes’ in Art.

You can see an animated version of the book below:

Spelling, reading and times tables are very important so we start the day by doing one of these activities. On the right-hand side of the blog page you will find lots of useful information such as copies all of the letters and information that has been sent home. You will also find spelling lists and other useful links. Take a look at the Autumn homework sheet if you'd like to have a go at one of the optional tasks.
